The late Kitty Kantilla outside Jilamara, 2002Photo: Gabriella Roy, reproduced with permission from the artist’s family Jilamara Arts & Crafts Association is a Public Beneficiary Institution, and registered with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). The centre can recieve income tax deductible gifts and donations from individuals and private organisations. To find out more about these benefits, please follow this link to the ATO website. Jilamara is currently seeking support for a major capital works project at the centre which has been designed by Darwin based Troppo Architects. Stage one of this project, a studio for carving work, was realised in 2005. Stage two and three offer further studio facillities, conservationally sound housing for the museum collection and an expanded office and display area. During the design process Troppo Architects were involved in extensive community workshops - the resulting building will be sensitive to the needs of the artists as well as to the local climate and social environment. Please contact us directly to enquire about the Benefaction Program. |
